The Sacrament of Baptism
Baptisms are scheduled at 1:30 PM every Sunday at Immaculate Conception. Baptisms are scheduled by request at Assumption for parishioners. Call the rectory as soon as possible to make arrangements. Baptismal catechesis (instruction) is typically offered on the second Thursday of each month. An online document, Baptism Preparation Guidelines, provides important planning information for parents.
Weddings
Please make an appointment with a member of the clergy at least six months in advance, prior to any other plans for your expected wedding date. You will be provided with a booklet to help plan your wedding. We have also provided an online document, Marriage Rite During Mass containing the components for The Marriage Rite During Mass. Some of the components have a number of options from which the engaged couple can make selections. These appear in boldface on the second page - these items are linked to the section covering each option. The introduction page for each of the sections has links to the various options within the section and are cross referenced to the guide the priest will provide.
Mass of Christian Burial
Sorrow can be shared, as we will do together in the Mass of Christian Burial. When people share a common painful experience, they are united by a special bond.
As Christians, we believe that the Funeral Mass celebrates our belief that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the Love of God. The readings, which may be used, as well as the music requests, will enable us to help you pray the Mass of Christian Burial most effectively.
