We are happy and excited to announce the revitalization of the parish ministry to the elderly, ill, and homebound. It is with your help that we can reach and seek those who are not just in need of help but those whose lives would be greatly enhanced by an active connection with our Church.

We are looking for volunteers to devote as little or as much time as possible. There are many ways we all can contribute, whether it’s simply making occasional phone calls or becoming a visitor to someone who might not be able to get out.

All ages are welcome to volunteer, from teenagers to seniors. Don’t worry, there is something to suit your time and life demands.

Initially, Outreach will consist of the following areas:

Aramatheans — Group of volunteers that can be called upon to attend a Mass of Christian Burial if the church would be empty of relatives and friends.

Nursing Homes – visits with residents that do not have any. This may be a time to pray together or simply chat and relieve some of the loneliness that can be felt.

Homebound – A friendly visit, and/or and errand that would otherwise go unattended.

Health Ministry - assisting those recently released from hospital by doing errands, et cetera, relieving caregivers/family for free time to do something else, i.e. giving them a "break."

Please consider giving some time to this ministry. We can achieve a lot! The more people who get involved, the more effective we can be and the more ground we can cover!
