Parents of 3rd through 8th Graders

The parking lot at dismissal time for these grades can be dangerous for children when parents expect their children to walk through the parking lot to find them. We ask, for the safety of the children, that parents park their cars in a designated parking spot and walk to the enclosed circle by the main entrance of the school to meet their children.

Dismissal Policy for Grades 4 - 8

Parents need to personally meet their children directly in front of the school building. Having unescorted children looking for their rides in the parking lot will create a dangerous situation. This includes not parking in a travel lane. Your cooperation is for the safety of the children.

Reminder to Parents of 3rd and 4th Graders

In order to alleviate the frustration at drop-off time and to insure that our students arrive on time, we look to all our families to adhere to the following procedure: We ask that everyone take the five extra minutes to park their car in a designated parking spot and escort their child/children to the cafeteria. The established practice of each car "standing" in the travel lane by the cafeteria steps in order to let children out is the sole reason for the major traffic jam in our parking lot and on White Plains Road. More importantly, this creates an unsafe situation for the children. Also, feel free to take advantage of the adult supervision in the cafeteria from 3:45pm to 4:15pm. Staggering the arrival of students will help reduce the traffic congestion. Thank you for your cooperation.

Communion Outfits Needed

In order to ease the burden that is associated with outfitting a child for their First Holy Communion, we ask if there are any parents in our parish who would like to donate "slightly used but in good condition" First Communion outfits. Although white dresses are appreciated, we are also looking for suits for our young fellows. Please call the PSR office if you can help or simply drop off any outfits to the rectory. Thank you.

Confirmations for students in Private Schools

Parish families who are sending their children to private grammar schools and wish their children to receive the sacrament of Confirmation here at Immaculate Conception should contact our office, 961-1076. You need to register your children with us as soon as possible.

Parents of 1st and 2nd Graders

Please do your best to see that your children are in the cafeteria on their class session days no later than 4:10pm. Our sessions begin promptly at 4:15pm. Thank you.

Safety Rules

We ask all parents to adhere to the following procedures with the safety of the children in mind:

Do not park your car in a travel lane for arrival or dismissal. This practice will cause traffic jams out to White Plains Road, especially on Wednesday afternoons. Use a marked parking spot.

Parents need to personally meet their children in front of the school building at dismissal time for grades four through eight. Asking your child to come to your parked car will become a safety issue. Dismissal for grades one through three will be in the cafeteria.

Car pool when you can. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
