Regulations Concerning Flowers and Plantings

 

Floral plantings are restricted.  Flowers, no higher than 1 foot, may be planted only in the 18 inches at the head of the grave or plot, in front of monument or monument space.  Deed holders are not permitted to put any boundaries around graves, plots or planting areas.  This includes brick, stone, wire, wood, etc.

 

No artificial flowers, plastic decorations, vigil lights permitted on graves or stones.

 

Small evergreens, up to 3ft. 6 inches, may be placed at head of plot on either side of monument on two graves or more.  No shrubs are permitted on single grave.  Shrubs should be slow growing variety so they will not encroach on plot of another deed holder.  Azaleas and similar bushes are not permitted.

 

Christmas evergreen pillows are permitted within the 18 inch boundary mentioned previously.  Wreaths are permitted.  Other decorations not appropriate in a Christian cemetery will be removed (including items such as plastic Santa Claus, Christmas trees, messages to deceased, vigil lights, etc.)

 

Glass or breakable vases are forbidden and will be removed.  Flower pots are not permitted on top of graves. 

 

Rules and Regulations - Monuments

 All stones must be true granite.  Only monuments of lasting quality permitted.  Barre granite is preferred.

 

All monuments must be approved by the Cemetery office and design must have religious symbols only.

 

The Section, Range, and number of Plot or Grave must appear on the right side of die or wash of base.

 

All charges against a plot or grave, including the cost of the foundation and permanent care of monument, must be paid before the foundation will be installed.

 

Foundations are installed by the cemetery.  Price is according to size.  There is a charge for Permanent Care of Monument.

 

No foundation orders will be accepted without a sketch of drawing.  The grave holder must present the deed and pay for the foundation at the time of placing the order.

 

Only one monument is permitted on each plot.  No footstones or markers are permitted except Government Markers.  Government Marker must be flat granite type.  This must be removed if the family monument is later installed.

 

No wood, metal or cement crosses will be permitted.  No statues, pictures, bronze or glass doors, or anything affixed to a monument will be permitted.

 

Cemetery authorities reserve the right to remove anything from graves

not in keeping with these regulations.
